What do we need from you?

The Medical Staffing departments of hospitals will not even look at a CV nor submit it to the relevant consultant without the following minimum supporting documentation.

• Copy of your GMC certificate

• Copy of your Hepatitis B certificate

• References - 2 recent references on official headed paper. (Notify your referees in advance that we will be contacting them. One of them must be your current employer or last employer if you are not working at the moment).

• Disclosure - Employing hospitals will expect to see proof of police clearance. Our Registration Department can assist with this.

Hospitals will expect you to show your original documents when commencing a placement and you may also be required to supply other documentation e.g. a valid EEA passport or a Work Permit/Visa.

Although not usually compulsory for NHS work it is recommended that you join a medical defence organisation. Refer to the links section for more information.
